The working fishering town of Akbuk is nestled between a crystal clear and tranquil bay and majestic mountains and pine forests. The resort looks out of the crystal clear aegean, with two small islands, making the view truly spectacular. Its Just a 15 minute drive from well know holiday resort Altinkum, and under 90 minutes from Bodrum Airport.
Akbuk used to be known as just a small fishing port where the fishermen would go to catch delicious Aegean Sea bass. Today, However, Akbuk is rapidly growing into an elite tourist resort with its holiday complexes as well as summer houses, villas, harbour, and five star hotels.
Akbuk has a good range of shops and markets selling food, produce, tools and hardware. There are doctors, dentists, schools and a bus station with regular services going to all of the neighbouring towns including Altinkum, Soke, Kusadasi and Bodrum. The local market on a Friday is a magnet for locals and tourists alike
Akbuk is not as well known yet as resorts as Kusadasi or Bodrum, but has all potential to become a luxury resort. It still maintains ots definite Turkish feel, whilst being welcoming the new British residents.The tranquil and countless beaches, with characteristic bars and bistro's along the quaint harbour will make you enjoy exquisite Turkey. High builds are not allowed in Akbuk. You will see beautifully designed villas and houses and most property available is within walking distance of the beautiful beaches and most of the infrastructure is in place already. As this town is rapidly developing, property prices are fairly low and would be considered a good investment. The town of Akbuk has been mentioned several times in the last few years. Now its potential has been spotted, this resort will grow in stature and value.
